A cure to lost teeth?

Many adults have lost teeth, possibly because of all that sugar we eat, maybe it’s just genetic. The fact is the solution to loosing adult teeth hasn’t been a cheap or pretty one, things like dentures and implants but no real solution. That may be changing within the next 2 years if researchers from the University of Alberta in Canada have there way. They have developed a Pulsed ultrasonic device that is mounted or capped above the lost tooth and it directly effects the root itself. Within 4 weeks it supposedly will have the root growing a new tooth. The device is remote controlled and needs to massage the affected area for 20 minutes a day for the 4 week period to show noticable grown.

What’s interesting also about this technology is that supposedly an altered version of it might be able to force bones to grow, possibly allowing for people to have there legs extended without the need for painful surgerys. Only time will tell but the fact scientists are working on things like this is kind of reassuring to know the medical industry is having some nice breakthroughs.
