Xbox360 Headset, Wireless, but third party

We all know that this Christmas will see the Wireless headset from Microsoft for the xbox360 being released. But it appears that a Third party manufacturer will also be releaseing a wireless headset for the xbox360, the difference you ask? This one is bluetooth, while this might seem great to some people it has some pretty major drawbacks. First of all the price, Datel’s bluetooth headset will be 105$ at AmazonUK and on top of that since it is bluetooth it isn’t operating on the built in 2.4ghz tech that the MS headset uses so the bluetooth headset requires a bluetooth dongle to be hooked up to the 360.

Hate to say it a few extra feet (maybe) isn’t worth loosing a USB slot to a headset that could be using the 4 extra headset channels that the 360 has built in for wireless headsets. Ya we know some people are bluetooth nuts and will go and get this just to say they have it, we here at NTN on the otherhand will gladly get our first party 360 headset and relax knowing we’re utilising the 360′s wifi channels and not waisting USB ports.
