EU Bluray delayed, yet again

Seems the ps3 is just killing bluray in europe… apparently yields on the bluray diodes are not enough for both the PS3 and other manufacturers devices and since sony’s only trusting themselves and 1 other company to make the diodes (usual sony stupidity if you ask me) they are going to be in short supply. Apparently some companys don’t have any plans at all yet and are looking to CES 2007 before they can really say anything.

“With the World Cup now officially over, what do Europeans have to look forward to? It’s definitely not Blu-ray, as many companies in the Blu-ray camp won’t be ready to deploy into Europe until January 2007. Pioneer says it doesn’t have any “concrete” plans for their European launch, but they’d have something figured out by CES 2007 in January. ” — Gizmodo
