No 3rd party love, so sony’s gonna do it themselves? Huh? Uhh Ok

Ok this is just histerical guys, someone needs to really bitch slap Phil Harrison, with a single quote he proved once again how arrogantly stupid sony is….

On the same day that Phil Harrison (President, Sony Worldwide Studios)tells SPOng that, “Moving resources towards in-house development is absolutely the strategy”, a report in the highly respected Develop magazine states that “Sony need not worry about any potential battles it may face with the PS3… the format holder is assured a top-of-the-pile placing in the global games market thanks to the company’s investment in internal development.”

Hasn’t anyone told this guy that size isnt everything? One of the best looking games from e3 (i forget the name but it was spectacular) was done by a 5 person team and outshadowed 90% of all the other games. Then theirs the other proof… EA, EA has the most people of all with 5500 inhouse and their games arent known for being “stellar” either lol…

Quality over quantity Mr. Harrison thats the key not just having a huge staff. But what some news storys are missing on this is the fact that its a very big form of damage control on sony’s part.

You see after loosing just about every third party exclusive, or atleast the important ones, and microsoft still maintaining its original set and gaining some new IP sony has to put a positive spin on it, by announcing they will be doing big things inhouse it takes the focus off the fact that third party developers are shunning them, i mean we are now 3 months since launch and from what i’ve heard the attach ratio of games is still below 1:1, and i can’t blame anything for it beyond the fact that even to today the only real game on the ps3 that looks interesting to me is Resistence, and thats even if i didn’t own a 360.

Spong sums it up nicely…

“Sony has ensured that it can create the momentum PS3 needs”.

So, why, then with this enormous workforce have we still neither seen nor heard rumour of a truly great, genre-busting game for the platform?
