Everyone knows EA i mean its the largest game developer in the world, bigger than any other. But the thing is they are primarily known for sticking to things they have already or that they purchase from other groups. Basically games and IP known to be a success, sports, rts, etc. on top of that they are kind of known for pretty shoddy games as well, or shall we say they like to just iterate games (2006 2007 2008 etc), so when Army of Two a team based game with lots of promises, of Partner AI and graphics to dwarf even gears of war (atleast GOW1 ;)) the gaming world let out a bit of a smirk, i mean its original ip yes but the promises just didnt seem to hold true. And no one really beleved EA would be able to pull off the AI properly.
But after word from E3 and some other shows from behind the scenes videos, and rumors of spectacular ocean scenes and physics based events on ships and massive environmental effects, people began to get quite interested. Now EA released this new trailer (below) thats to showcase some of the PAI/Teamwork system, its cute and funny and i really like it, but what i find more interesting is that the latest rumor surrounding it is that atleast portions of the video are realtime ingame footage! (my guess are the action parts at the end, where they “get their sh*t together” but as I said it’s just a rumor, but if it holds true perhaps EA is changing ??? :) (Then again this might just be the beginning of Army of Two 2008, 2009 and 2010 :))
