Well I didn’t really post yesterday on earthday, mainly because I wasn’t home. Well i figured i’d go ahead and post a few of my “best of earthday” in a little roundup things that really meant the most. My #1 thing and probably the funniest all day was seeing the following image…
It’s from the World Wildlife foundation in china, for those that aren’t chinese readers, the ballon says “Drive one day less and look how much carbon dioxide you’ll keep out of the air we breathe”. We need more bold statements like this on earthday and even around the year, it’s not exactly that big of a deal to pull off… and if the tobacco companys and the MTV “TRUTH” campaign can keep doing gay little death montages why don’t we see more about global warming like the above image? I mean give us some TRUTH like this, i mean smokings bad MTV but global warmings worse. I mean come on i can’t even find any custom pens pertaining to one of the biggest causes of our day.
Im other news, G4TV has teamed up with Earth 911 to start a gadget recycling search engine called GCycle. You enter your zipcode and the electronic you want to recycle and it tells you where togo. A great idea, and one that I hope takes off, i’d love to see newegg and other sites with links to GCycle to promote it to consumers and general surfers.
