Remember the iPhone that super sexy new music phone with it’s big full front screen and 4gb/8gb of space. But you also probably remember the 500-600$ pricetag even with a 2 year contract. But then came the Meizu miniOne that had the same storage, a higher resolution screen the same storage sizes, and windows mobile 6, but at 1/3rd the price. The bad news was on both sides, the iPhone isn’t going to allow third party developed software, and then the news came that the meizu wouldn’t be able to compete because well it wasnt expected till quarter 4 of 2007 well after the announced June release of the iPhone.
Well it looks like Meizu may get the chance to crush the apple iPhone launch after all as announcements have now slipped out that the iPhone has been delayed back to October 2007 from it’s original june shipping date. So lets see … which are you going to go for? Since they’re both coming in Q4 2007, The Meizu with its 200-300$ tag for the same 4gb-8gb units, highres screen, and WM6… or 600-700$ + 2 year contract for the 4gb/8gb and the standard screen… i just don’t think a micro OSX is worth that especially when it doesn’t allow third party apps at all.

UPDATE: According to Engadget and another email from one of their sources, Apple has retracted the statement now supposedly saying that they are still on track for their june release… But you know what i still think the meizu features and price still push me to wait for Q4 :) Guess i’m back to looking at beaufort nc real estate, ya it’s been a pretty boring day news wise.
