You guys remember killzone 2, you know that unbelievable game that sony tried to pass off last e3 as ingame video that was jaw dropping and amazing, basically it looked like call of duty 4 lol… But heres the problem, a ingame screenshot leaked today and it has been confirmed to be an ingame screenshot of Killzone 2. And lets just say Sony claiming that Killzone 2 will be a halo killer was just stupid. This thing doesn’t look as good as many launch titles from the 360 let alone halo 3 or call of duty 4. Perhaps their time would have been spent spending time looking at school loan consolidation sites or something because obviously waiting for a great game was a waste of time.
Hell from the looks of this it’s not even on par with resistance, whats ironic is sony fanboys worldwide are already saying things like “pictures never look as good as ingame” now aren’t these the same idiots that said that PGR3 stills looked too good and that ingame always looks crappy once its in motion? And the same went for stills of games like Gears of War? What’s funny though is that people are somehow surprised by this they all seem to forget that Halo 1 and Halo 2 were some of the biggest games in history, while Killzone 1 was well…. it was a pretty crappy game by even sony fans standards.
This should be a lesson to sony, never hype postproduced CGI videos as gameplay videos as well as saying that a game will be a “anything killer” especially when it hasn’t in reality shown any ability to be a killer game. Now i don’t care if this is a final or even a recent photo of this game, because this just shows how idiotic sony was to tell people a year ago that that wicked footage was “ingame” when we all knew it wasn’t and even the company that made the video said it wasn’t!
So with sony loosing exclusives and other games being delayed indefinitly, and some cancelled all together, and now big name games like killzone 2 that sony hyped, whats the future for sony? I mean realistically will Sony fans start realizing that all sony has been dishing since day 1 is pure unadulterated HYPE?
