A massage blog for geeks? Sort of

Well heres an interesting find if I do say so myself, I’ve come across a site that actually mixes 2 completely different fields into 1 very interesting read of a blog. Now of course theres blogs about everything these days from kitties and dogs to exploration of universes, the point is if you can name it theirs probably a blog directly targeted at it. But this one is interesting even considering that fact. The blog I’m refering to is Massage Geek. Let me be very serious here I’m a geek and I feel pretty secure in saying that pretty much all “geek” stereotypes are correct for the most part yes their are deviations but for the most part the facts remain the same geeks don’t get the girls and even more rarely get to touch others. Or at least that’s been my experience (fiancee’s not counted ;))

Ok, So Massage Geek isn’t exactly the Nerd’s grail for becoming a great massage therapist or something of that nature. No it’s actually designed for well… Massage Geeks ;) Not Geeks that want to give Massages. The site is targeted towards those in the Massage and Therapy industry and gives advice and help to those that want to improve their practices in the field.

What I found most enticing about the blog was it’s targeted audience it’s a nice Web 2.0 solution for a very closely nit community. The layout of the site is extremely well done and is remenicent of some of the well known blogs like engadget and kotaku. Besides being a great solution for those in the industry they seem to have some great tips for those of us geeks that are not health concious in maybe relieving some of our stress especially from our horrible posture. But where the site really shines is for those geeks out their that are looking to start their own Massage business the site has a wealth of information and is updated quite regularly since I first visited it. They really push some great tips on planning and getting your business off the ground and all of the health benefits that your business would bring forth. They have a huge wealth of information targeted specifically at finding schools so that you can go on to become a therapist or to as I said start your own business.
