Apple announces October 26 Leopard availability and PreOrder today.

Well the big news has hit the street and it’s coming from Apple today with the announcement that the rumors of the October release of Apple’s upcoming 10.5 version of their premier OS. Leopard as it’s codenamed is set to be released on October 26th and will be available as of today on apple.com’s store. The system is priced at $129.00 direct from apple and the five user license is set to set you back a total of $199 during the preorder and their guarantee you that they will be delivered to your doorstep as of October 26th.

Their’s a supposed 300 new features and while many of them are primarily small changes their are some big ones like the Quick Look for full scale previews of the documents as well as the new Time Machine for backing up and restoring files. Finder has also added the new Cover Flow technology as well as the desktop has recieved an update and a revamped dock. The dock also recieved new stacks basically roll out folders for the dock.
