Well without letting breast cancer awareness month slip by something interesting has crossed my desk this morning it seems that the boys at ford are working to bring some cash to the fight against breast cancer. The system will work much the same as past charitable music player selling systems for donations. But unlike in the past such as the iPod Red, the Pink 30gb Zune’s will be donating 100% of the purchase price directly to the Susan G Koman for the cure thanks to both Ford and Microsoft working together to make breast cancer an even more important topic and to do all they can to help. The warriors in pink will be donating the $250 price for the special edition in full to the cause. Yes it is 50$ more than retail, but the fact that it’s a special edition and it’s all being donated to charity anyway I don’t see how anyone could complain. So stop being cheap and looking to find a cheap zune on ebay and go buy one from the Warriors in Pink and help a great cause.
I’d personally like to thank both Microsoft and Ford for such a great concept and I just really find it to be exciting. Though I really hope to see them push these with a third party something like say walmart or some retail shop or even best buy to help push both the Social and the fight against breast cancer even further.
