It’s not often that a major school has something along the lines of the Nouveau Riche Scam rumor surrounding it. But in the age of Internet even the most solid of businesses and even schools have negative reviews and aspects. But people have been quicker and quicker as time has progressed and the internet age has set in to call things out without all the proven facts such as seems to be the case in the Nouveau Riche Scam.
I’ve found several alumni blogs and other sites that are pretty strong at countering the negative slang attacks that seem to be clustering and spreading around the Internet. I suppose this just goes to show the other side of the Internet super highway of information that goes less spoken and that’s why I’m bringing the issue to bare. While it’s great that every kid and his mom can share information on the Internet, theirs no definitives, rarely is their a site that has 100% truth to it. Wikipedia is mostly subjective, blogs are just opinions, and the sites of businesses rarely are more than white lies and embellishments of the truth.
That brings to question things like scam warnings and the reliability of endorsements, thing’s like the Nouveau Riche Scam must always be taken with a grain of salt in either direction. The only way to really know is to research all possible angles and spend a bit of time figuring out the truth hidden in the shadows of the Internet.
