Windows 7 Pre-beta to be given to PDC and WinHEC attendants.

For those people still struggling with their meth addiction in drug rehab with trying to deal with how poorly Vista operates it looks like a bit of medicine might be on the way in the way of a pre-beta… which as far as I recall from my beta testing days is also known as an Alpha, but god knows why their calling it pre-beta… maybe its a new stage between alpha but not quite beta.

What’s better is the fact that software rehab is a lot better than alcohol rehab and definitely cheaper. Now it’s still going to be a while before we know whether Windows 7 will be the solution Microsoft and many Windows fans are hoping for. The fact is right now and in most windows betas as we’ve seen in the past this next version is basically identical to the previous version (vista). Mainly what we should see in this early pre-beta are some speed improvements hopefully from under the hood changes, as well as some small interface changes like the fact that more applications are apparently going to adopt the ribbon interface which I am definitely happy to see… But i’d really like to see what the system will look like more towards the end of the beta cycle and entering the RTM era. Well if your going to the PDC in October or if you miss that and go to WinHEC you can pick it up in December but of course considering what PDC is about you can probably expect a lot more information about Vista other than just the betas.
