You know I debated whether I should have really posted this but as I’m still in the progress of moving and well it’s not exactly 100% gadget news. But then I checked my stats and realized something, if their’s 1 thing that my visitors like it’s hot chicks and gadgets. I mean to date after a year my most popular post still remains the one about one of the gizmodo gadget girls that had the macbook.

Well the Hot Chick Gadget news of the day comes from Gizmodo again, they seem to know all the hot girls who like gadgets LOL. You see the story starts a long while back when apple released the iPod shuffle, the really tiny one lots of people including myself asked the question “how long till someone swallows that da*n thing”.

Well let me introduce you to my new favorite gadget girl :) Heather Holiday, from the Coney Island Circus. She’s the Coney Island Circus sword swallower can you see where this story is going? Not only is she damn hot, but she has no gag reflex hence the sword swallow and well … as the story goes, iPod shuffle swallowing :). Realistically the iPod shuffle should have been a no-contest I mean she swallows 36″ swords on a daily basis.

So the question is did this gadget girl manage to swallow the 1.8 x 0.7 x 0.3-inch iPod shuffle? Did she get to listen to some rocking tunes from inside her esophogus? Well their’s a video below that showcases her attempt at it, definitly worth watching. But the sad truth is no she didn’t get to swallow it, you see the sword swallowing technique she uses isn’t so much swallowing the gadget in a sexy manner, it’s actually just allowing gravity to drop the sword/iPod down her throat.

With the iPod shuffle weighting in at only 0.38 ounces or 10.7 grams the shuffle just wasn’t cooperating in sliding down and being controlled by her esophogus muscles. I mean sure the spoon/stick could push it in a bit but after that gravity just couldn’t slide it down. She says that eventually she might be able to do it after some more practice but right now she couldn’t she promises to come back and show the world when she does manage it but for now we have a pretty wicked video of a chick making a great attempt, and a story about a chick with no gag reflex that could have probably easily been rewritten into a story for a porn site with a few key words changed LOL ;)

One thing I do disagree with gizmodo’s assessment is that they say this proves the iPod shuffle is swallow proof because it was sword swallower proof so you shouldnt worry about it. The think is theirs a difference between controlled swallowing and throwing something in your mouth and gulping it down, she might not have been able to swallow a jaw breaker either but i’m pretty sure theirs a few people that have choked their brains out on it. Not to mention tiny toys that kids swallow on a daily basis that she probably couldnt have control-swallowed. So I say while it might be wicked to see a chick try it, this is definitly NOT something for anyone to try.

Well here’s something a bit interesting out of TechCrunch, Apple says that they have information from 3 reliable sources that are said to be close to apple have said that Apple is developing a sort of Giant iPod Touch device with a seven to nine inch screen.

What this basically works out to is a a sort of Tablet running the iPod Touch software. It’s not a full fledged MacBook tablet as was hoped it’s basically a supped up larger iPod Touch. The original rumor of this actually came back in October when someone spotted an Apple product that had a display between the size of an iPhone and a MacBook that was spotted surfing the internet.

The fact the device would have the AppStore built in will make it quite the little piece of hardware if the product comes to light. It will be interesting to see how it will be able to compete against the NetBook market. As that’s where it seems to be targeting, I mean the Linux NetBooks were basically designed to target email and surfing. So perhaps it won’t beat out a Dual Core Windows XP NetBook but the Linux surfing/email netbooks may have a hard time giving a reason to buy it especially if apple can manage to keep costs respectable, read under $500. If they can the AppStore access bigger screen, could see it useful for everything from an eBook reader to POS systems and pretty much everything in between.

TechCrunch doesn’t go as far to guarantee that it will happen according to their sources, as they could easily scrap it and with Apple things like this are always secret until the moment before their announced even if only in a grainy crappy photo.

Yes you read it right the home servers have been a major awesome product since Microsoft released them but a major drawback was that they didn’t support time machine for those mac users out their. Well not anymore if the new HP Media Server is to be believed as it’s boasting some great specs at a really low cost.

HP MediaSmart Server ex485and ex487 (750GB & 1.5TB) for Mac and Windows users. It apparently will live happily with mac and windows users and will even support sharing a iTunes library for those people that fancy their itunes musac. For those weird music players, you know like the iphone, and ipod touch etc ;) It’s great to see the WHS environment progressing especially when its going on sale for under $600. Only draw back i can see is that this is the current release of WHS and not the fancy new version thats coming in 2009 or at least they don’t say its a new version of the OS included.

Well it looks like the Apple rumor wheels are spinning one again, this time their are a growing number of whispers that 32gb iPhone’s will be gracing the top-end iPhone package. One of the biggest indicators that this is coming is the fact that the 8GB inventory is beginning to dry up without being replaced, you know the whole shift of memory size. All I know is that those 8gb people probably will be just as pissed as the people who originally got the 4gb version right before it got dropped.

One thing that is a bit strange is the fact this would happen right after the Let’s Rock iPod event and the fact the ipods are getting restructured in response to all the Zune news. AppleInsider even goes as far to say that Apple is also preparing to go back to in-home activation but thats still a pretty much baseless rumor because their aren’t even hints at it, well besides the fact that dropping in-home activation did absolutely nothing to stem third party cracking and distribution networks.
