First thanks Gizmodo for the Image as I hunted all over NovelQuest’s website and can’t find any wicked images that show this baby off like the awesome picture above. What would you guys drop $40,000 on? Maybe a nice Lexus, or a Large down payment on a house… Na we’re computer guru’s and none of that would help in our countless hours of blogging or … well… World of Warcraft ;). I know what your thinking $40,000 is a lot of money to spend let alone on a glorified chair / computer desk.

Well this is no where near your regular computer chair, this is the Emperor Workstation by NovelQuest. This baby has 3 screens with more real estate than some of those quite large digital signage screens that you get excited when you see adverts flashing on in public. But this thing goes much further sporting the ability to tilt hydraulically, rotate 360 degrees, a full THX 5.1 surround sound with a subwoofer in the seat itself. But no that’s not enough, this thing’s got touch screen controls, light therapy, air filtration, adjustable seating, a full 3 hours of backup battery power to keep the entire chair running without a power source. Of course it also has all the basic’s like your iPod/iPhone dock, microphone, webcam, card reader, USB, eSata and Firewire ports as well as a Cable TV input. Basically you could get into this chair and pretty much never leave again, well as long as you use voip to order your dominos.

While it may seem that this is some form of magically promise kind of like the fatigue relieving miracles that no one really expects to actually work, the makers claim the secret is completely scientific, it utilizes an unnamed natural mineral crystal inside with a melting point that “produces a slow soothing cooling”.

For $49.95 it might be worth checking out even if just to see what’s inside it, this miracle chemical that apparently works better than a bottle of ice cubes, even if it doesn’t make your discount home theater seating into top of the line movie seats :). It should be noted that they say that you should stop using the cushion before all the minerals inside are in the melted state, and then wait for it to solidify again, the question I suppose is how long does it take for the minerals to melt, and how long for them to resolidify? They don’t say and only then can we really tell if its as cool as it seems.

My entire take on blogging has had several large shifts in the past i originally didn’t advertise, then I was doing adsense, now lately i’ve started doing sponsored reviews. But the more i have tried i’ve realized the more a great strategy is required to keep my blog functioning properly, while i know trying to keep advertising to a minimum is important, it goes well beyond that and thanks to an article from one of my sponsored sites. It’s a great article that basically goes over the big points of making a blog work. You see theirs one thing to blogging and having a few people wander of your site, but theirs something else entirely to making a blog that people bookmark and want to come visit daily. They break it down into The fundamentals, building your Audience, but the most important tips are on keeping your audience. You see while initial design, and getting someone to take a peak at your blog can be easy and you can even get away with on flukes of design, or by accident. Keeping people coming back requires actual effort and the tips they suggest really do give you some insight into why it is some blogs are complete failures and some others manage to be amazing successes, such as some joe-shmoes blogspot vs say… engadget, their both just blogs i’m sure joe’s blog isnt the one techies stop at multiple times a day :)

Their is one suggestion not on the page that i’d like to add though, Don’t lie. Don’t ever lie not to create drama and drum up traffic, While controversy does indeed bring walls of traffic to your site. A lie could easily kill your readership, once people feel lied to, or loose their trust in your blogging you can’t make back that trust, not in a world where theirs a billion other blogs ready to take your place in their aggregators.

Well i just found the chair to make my home into the wonderful home office i’ve sooo wanted it to be. I’ve been sitting on the floor for the last 3 months in front of a small table. Well not anymore if I have anything to do about it after a little bit of hunting i’ve found what i believe to be the perfect computer chair. Well it’s not exactly just a chair :)

It’s the Personal Computing Environment! Yes that’s it to the left their, yes its drastically overkill. But you know what for someone like me that sits on a computer nearly 24/7 it’s something thats no laughing matter. A comfortable posture and hand positioning and some great lumbar support is exactly whats needed and exactly what the PCE offers.

But theirs and issue… THE DARN THING ISNT OUT YET! According to their site the PCE will be available come second quarter 2007. And considering they dont overkill the price its something i’m heavily considering buying. I mean with a good chair, places for my dual monitors and the rest of my pc components and surround sound. Can it really get any better?
