You know I debated whether I should have really posted this but as I’m still in the progress of moving and well it’s not exactly 100% gadget news. But then I checked my stats and realized something, if their’s 1 thing that my visitors like it’s hot chicks and gadgets. I mean to date after a year my most popular post still remains the one about one of the gizmodo gadget girls that had the macbook.

Well the Hot Chick Gadget news of the day comes from Gizmodo again, they seem to know all the hot girls who like gadgets LOL. You see the story starts a long while back when apple released the iPod shuffle, the really tiny one lots of people including myself asked the question “how long till someone swallows that da*n thing”.

Well let me introduce you to my new favorite gadget girl :) Heather Holiday, from the Coney Island Circus. She’s the Coney Island Circus sword swallower can you see where this story is going? Not only is she damn hot, but she has no gag reflex hence the sword swallow and well … as the story goes, iPod shuffle swallowing :). Realistically the iPod shuffle should have been a no-contest I mean she swallows 36″ swords on a daily basis.

So the question is did this gadget girl manage to swallow the 1.8 x 0.7 x 0.3-inch iPod shuffle? Did she get to listen to some rocking tunes from inside her esophogus? Well their’s a video below that showcases her attempt at it, definitly worth watching. But the sad truth is no she didn’t get to swallow it, you see the sword swallowing technique she uses isn’t so much swallowing the gadget in a sexy manner, it’s actually just allowing gravity to drop the sword/iPod down her throat.

With the iPod shuffle weighting in at only 0.38 ounces or 10.7 grams the shuffle just wasn’t cooperating in sliding down and being controlled by her esophogus muscles. I mean sure the spoon/stick could push it in a bit but after that gravity just couldn’t slide it down. She says that eventually she might be able to do it after some more practice but right now she couldn’t she promises to come back and show the world when she does manage it but for now we have a pretty wicked video of a chick making a great attempt, and a story about a chick with no gag reflex that could have probably easily been rewritten into a story for a porn site with a few key words changed LOL ;)

One thing I do disagree with gizmodo’s assessment is that they say this proves the iPod shuffle is swallow proof because it was sword swallower proof so you shouldnt worry about it. The think is theirs a difference between controlled swallowing and throwing something in your mouth and gulping it down, she might not have been able to swallow a jaw breaker either but i’m pretty sure theirs a few people that have choked their brains out on it. Not to mention tiny toys that kids swallow on a daily basis that she probably couldnt have control-swallowed. So I say while it might be wicked to see a chick try it, this is definitly NOT something for anyone to try.

It looks like competition has widdled things out to be a little bit too thin for some companies in the downloadable market, and the latest company to walk past the exit signs and close shop is Ruckus Music. It hung on for quite some time even though it was pretty well forgotten when you remember it was up against online music giants like Microsoft and Apple not to mention the countless number of other small online download websites and networks.

The fact that their closing is not surprising but it’s a little bit surprising how they did it, I mean their website all of a sudden just points to the image you see at the top of the post. This does however make me wonder, how many users did they have? Did they use DRM? Because if so they basically screwed the DRM users that bought their music. Or did they actually have no users left that they managed to just close it off without having to worry about things like disappointing users?

Considering how popular the iPod is you can bet yourself their have been fake iPod’s in the past.

But considering theirs a war between Microsoft’s Xbox and Apple’s iPod instead of making a fake of each, one Chinese company decided to combine the 2, the case and screen size of the iPod and general layout but the round circle (Yet not iPod quality clicker wheel). For those looking for the worst resolution out of the 3 but actually some pretty nice features such as lots of codec support, USB2 and microSD slot then it might not be all bad to buy the QQ K805. But then remember it is that crappy Chinese knock off quality, so don’t be expecting anything relevantly as good quality as the real zune or ipod.

The best SciFi TV show just had a premier trailer that pretty much just makes the wait for January even more difficulty. This single trailer is probably the most excited I’ve been in a long time and it sure as hell outdoes any alli weight loss commercial or pretty much any other spot i’ve seen between my favorite TV shows as late. It really is a sad thing to think about when it comes to the fact that it’s super exciting waiting for the show to come back, but quite depressing when we realize that this is also the end of the show. It’s almost as depressing as when I found out that Stargate SG1/Atlantis were canceled, but at least they were smart enough to let Battlestar Galactica complete it’s story arcs completely in full seasons, with extended episodes if the rumors are true.

Ok so it’s not Panasonic’s brain melting 150 inch Moniter display that’s making news today, it’s not even their tru2way-enabled sets but the Panasonic 11 is still worth a look. Today in Germany the home of those awesome Seiko watches the new line of products starts with the 42 and 50 inch TH-42PH11EK/ES/TH-50PG11EK/ES coming in with 1024×768 and 1366×768 resolution respectively. Which to me just really isn’t that impressive things spice up a bit when we get to the TH42PF11EK/TH50PF11EK/ TH58PF11EK and TH-65PF11EK all of which offer a much more impressive Full HD 1,920 x 1,080 resolution and a 30,000:1 contrast ratio.

The odd bit of information is that while all of the hardware except the 58 inch and above are available now they are available “for an undisclosed amount”. The rest of the screens will be following in December for you guessed it for an undisclosed amount once again.
