If theirs one good thing Nintendo is great at it’s releasing products that millions of people fawn over and die to own. On the other hand if theirs something gadget geeks love to do is talk rumors and make up fake mockups of products they wish they could have. Well If IGN has anything to say on the way of rumors their just might be something on the way in the way of something much greater than a simple few new DS Lite colors.

The above is a mockup of what is believed by IGN to be what we might be expecting from Nintendo in the way of the third revision of Nintendo DS’s. Said to feature a widescreen quality LCD, and this time both screens will be touchscreen. Then again as Engadget pointed out, it sounds like more of a Second Generation DS than a new revision. Then again IGN’s rumor also says a April/May 2009 release date is what we’re looking at might not be logical, unless its been in development in secret for a while, or it really is just the same DS with a widescreen LCD on top.

Well it looks like the guys from Penguin United have something in store for all the teenage nintendo fans out their that they might enjoy a bit more than acne scars cream that they asked their mom to pick up from walmart. I mean who doesn’t need a new gadget that replaces 4?

Well to be completely honest this isn’t the first quad charger as Nintendo already licensed their own but then again we all know first party tends to be a bit more expensive than average. Beyond the awesome name alone, ok Wiinited might have been cooler but it also utlizes Li-ion batteries that promise 13 full hours of playtime from each Wiimote. On top of that is a great ratio on charge vs rundown time taking only 4 hours for a complete charge. What makes things even better even if you ignore the pretty charging lights for each Wiimote, no the best news is the fact that it’s $44.99 for the entire set.

The Wii does get some interesting addon peripherals like the WiiFit, but I’ve noticed a trend of addon’s coming out that are about as useful as a colon cleanse for a teenager. I mean with wireless Nunchuks and third party controllers for the Wii already out, do we really need to have Nyko’s new addon for the existing wired controllers to make the existing controllers wireless from each other.

But that begs the question do we really need the controllers to be wireless in the first place and burn through batteries even faster? Beyond the fact that the new Nyko Wireless Nunchuk adapter basically takes the concept of a sexier third party wireless Nunchuk such as Nyko’s own replacement adapter that’s quite sexy looking, and instead adds a bunch of crap onto the existing remotes. While at the same time charging you a full 20$ for the privilege of not having the remote tied together, and considering how long the Nunchuk cable is I still don’t see the reason for such a move.

With all this wireless and flip flopping and motioning going on, I wonder how long it will be until we see 2 holes in a plasma one from each piece now that some stupid kid will be able to freely swing both arms around without and cables getting in the way of his insane fun.

Icron’s WiRanger USB hub looks like a normal USB hub except for the wireless antenna that connects it to the USB receiver which hooks into your PC. Ok so it doesn’t look like a regular hub that much, it looks like 2 little wireless routers but instead of ethernet ports their’s usb ports. So that performance isn’t too bad the WiRanger uses 802.11g, Beyond that it works exactly the same as any other USB extender hub.

The point of the whole wireless USB? basically its designed for being used with USB printers and maybe cameras, it might work for hard drives but i would really really not suggest it i mean harddrive access over 802.11g? Personally i think they should have gone 802.11a/b/g but that’s just me.
